A new bonded logistics facility has officially opened in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, reinforcing the country’s growing role as a logistics hub in response to the continued rise of e-commerce across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Covering 61,000 square feet, the facility is designed to increase storage and processing capabilities, with 40 percent of its operations focused on meeting the expanding needs of online retail logistics.
This facility features six loading docks and upgraded warehouse space to support efficient operations such as customs processing, bonded storage, product sorting, packaging, and last-mile distribution. The goal is to provide faster, more reliable delivery services while easing supply chain bottlenecks, particularly for international shipments affected by shifting tariff regulations and cross-border trade adjustments.
Situated less than 30 kilometers from Amsterdam and under 60 kilometers from Rotterdam, the facility benefits from direct access to both a major European airport and the continent’s largest seaport. This strategic location enhances supply chain fluidity and reduces transit time, especially important for businesses adapting to higher tariffs and customs checks.
This development is a proactive move to localize logistics operations, reduce dependency on distant fulfillment models, and strengthen regional networks—supporting long-term supply chain resilience in an evolving global trade environment.
