LONDON – June 16, 2023 – The International Centre for Trade Transparency Limited (ICTTM) is proud to announce its involvement in the forthcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2023). The conference is scheduled to take place in London on June 21-22, 2023, co-hosted by the UK and Ukraine, following the successful cycle of annual events, with the previous one held jointly with Switzerland in Lugano.
ICTT is honoured to be represented at this event by H.E. Ambassador Sven Jurgenson, a valued member of our Board. The ambassador’s participation underscores our ongoing commitment to supporting global trade transparency and equitable recovery initiatives.
The URC 2023 is an important continuation of the international community’s collective effort to assist Ukraine’s recovery and stabilisation, particularly in the wake of the ongoing Russian aggression. In the last conference, we saw the initiation of the Lugano Principles, a foundational guide to Ukraine’s reconstruction that spurred worldwide efforts.
While significant emergency aid has been pledged since the adoption of the Lugano Principles, there’s a clear need for a broader mobilisation from both public and private sectors. This is critical to addressing the extensive stabilisation and recovery requirements that Ukraine faces following the ongoing conflict.
Our primary goal for URC 2023 is to rally international support for Ukraine’s socio-economic stabilisation and recovery, including emergency assistance for immediate needs and funding for private sector involvement in the reconstruction process.
We eagerly anticipate the active participation of a diverse set of stakeholders including international community members, financial institutions, the private sector, and civil society. We firmly believe that the private sector can make significant contributions by leveraging their expertise to assist in Ukraine’s recovery and we urge investors to consider specific sectors and opportunities.
The conference is strictly invitation-only due to security considerations. We look forward to a fruitful gathering, driving impactful discussions and collaborations in aid of Ukraine’s ongoing recovery and transformation journey.
