A major step forward in Asia-Pacific logistics has been marked with the opening of a new 13,000-square-meter bonded warehouse in Singapore. Strategically located at the Mapletree Benoi Logistics Hub, the facility is designed to enhance regional logistics connectivity, improve warehousing efficiency, and support growing trade activity across the region.
This warehouse is the latest addition to a rapidly expanding network of supply chain infrastructure, following recent developments in Incheon, South Korea, and Hong Kong. Together, these facilities contribute to over 800,000 square meters of managed warehousing space in Asia Pacific, significantly increasing cross-border logistics capacity.
According to regional supply chain leaders, the Singapore facility will provide end-to-end logistics support, allowing for more agile and cost-effective distribution throughout Southeast Asia and beyond. The development aligns with ongoing strategies to create integrated logistics ecosystems anchored by multimodal transport hubs.
Since relocating key operations to Singapore in 2021, the company behind the project has tripled its local workforce, underscoring Singapore’s importance as a gateway for trade and logistics in the region. The recent expansion of capabilities—including the acquisition of logistics service providers across Asia—further supports this initiative.
Recent investments include a new logistics center at Busan New Port in South Korea, valued at USD 50 million, which is set to enhance Northeast Asia’s role in global supply chains. These strategic expansions signal a strong commitment to supporting the region’s increasing trade volumes with sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
The new Singapore warehouse is expected to bolster supply chain reliability and adaptability, reflecting the evolving needs of manufacturers, exporters, and retailers throughout Asia-Pacific.
