A new agro-logistics center in Tajikistan’s Sughd Special Economic Zone is set to revolutionize the country’s agricultural supply chain. This transformative project aims to enhance productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and unlock new opportunities for Tajik agricultural products in global markets.
With an investment of $5 million, the center will introduce international standards for sorting, packing, storage, and transportation of fruits and vegetables. Scheduled to begin construction in 2025 and complete by the end of 2026, it will play a key role in streamlining the movement of goods from farms to markets, ensuring efficiency and quality at every stage of the supply chain.
This facility is part of a broader initiative to establish five agro-logistics centers across Tajikistan, designed to modernize the agricultural sector and integrate sustainable practices. By optimizing logistics and providing value-added services, the project aims to position Tajikistan as a competitive player in regional and global agricultural trade.
The initiative not only supports the agricultural sector but also strengthens the country’s overall supply chain infrastructure, making it more resilient and efficient. It’s a positive step toward creating sustainable growth, improving livelihoods for farmers, and boosting Tajikistan’s economy through expanded export opportunities.
