Over 95% of its direct manufacturing expenditure is now committed to transitioning to 100% renewable energy by the year 2030. Since urging its supply chain to decarbonize their emissions footprint in 2022, the adoption of clean energy has surged, currently amounting to 16.5 GW and marking a 20% increase from the previous year. This substantial growth has resulted in the generation of over 25.5 million MW of clean energy, leading to a reduction of over 18.5 million metric tons of carbon emissions.
Additionally, the company is actively addressing the emissions associated with product usage by committing to match customers’ electricity consumption with clean energy sources by 2030. Investments in solar projects and partnerships aimed at generating clean energy demonstrate the company’s dedication to mitigating its environmental impact.
Furthermore, efforts to replenish water resources in high-stress locations underscore the company’s commitment to sustainability beyond energy usage. Launching new partnerships and initiatives to restore rivers and aquifers and provide access to drinking water exemplify its long-term commitment to environmental stewardship.
