Kazakhstan has reported a 14% increase in grain exports between September 1 and October 19, underscoring the country’s growing role as a key agricultural supplier within Central Asia and the Caucasus. The total volume of exports reached 1.6 million tons, reflecting strong demand and improved trade connectivity across the region.
The export surge was supported by stable logistics networks and the continued expansion of regional trade partnerships. The most notable growth was seen in shipments to neighboring Central Asian countries, particularly Uzbekistan, where exports climbed by 41%. Other destinations also showed steady increases, with shipments to Tajikistan rising by 3.8% and to the Kyrgyz Republic more than doubling.
Beyond Central Asia, exports to the Caucasus also expanded significantly. Deliveries to Azerbaijan rose more than threefold, while shipments to Afghanistan and Turkmenistan increased by 28.6% and 66.7%, respectively.
This upward trend highlights Kazakhstan’s strategic role in ensuring food security and strengthening agricultural supply chains across the broader Eurasian region. With stable transport routes and a growing logistics network, the country continues to enhance its position as a reliable hub for grain distribution and trade cooperation.
