Vietnam is making strategic moves to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and deepen global supply chain integration through two major industrial exhibitions set to take place this August in Hanoi. These events will serve as a vital platform for connecting Vietnamese suppliers with international buyers and promoting the adoption of digital and green technologies across manufacturing sectors.
The exhibitions are expected to welcome over 200 companies from more than 10 countries and attract upwards of 10000 professional visitors. Industries represented will include automotive, electronics, textiles, medical devices, and advanced mechanical engineering. The event will highlight solutions such as smart manufacturing systems, digital supply chain tools, and zero emission production technologies.
One of the most anticipated activities is a business matching program linking Japanese buyers with Vietnamese manufacturers in fields such as precision engineering and electronic components. This supports Vietnam’s goal of strengthening its domestic supplier base and reducing dependence on imported parts.
While progress has been made in key sectors, local industries currently supply only a small portion of components needed for production. These exhibitions aim to address this gap by fostering international partnerships and encouraging investment in local capabilities.
Foreign investors have shown growing confidence in Vietnam’s potential, with recent surveys indicating that many plan to expand operations and increase local sourcing. This positions Vietnam as an emerging hub for supply chain resilience and innovation.
Additional activities will include factory visits, buyer networking zones, technical seminars, and a digital platform to facilitate real time partner matching and collaboration.
