A significant €50 million investment is set to revolutionize the hydrogen supply chain, enabling greener transportation solutions and advancing sustainability. This bold initiative will establish a robust hydrogen infrastructure along the Seine Axis, from Le Havre to the Ile-de-France region, offering clean energy to refueling stations supporting hydrogen-powered taxis, corporate utility fleets, buses, and trucks. By directing a portion of the production from a cutting-edge 200-MW electrolyzer currently under construction, this effort aims to decarbonize transport operations while fostering supply chain innovation.
A key agreement within this initiative could provide up to 3,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually, empowering customers to achieve over 20 million kilometers of emission-free travel each month. This transformative step reflects a growing commitment to integrating renewable hydrogen into transportation supply chains, paving the way for cleaner logistics and sustainable mobility.
Furthermore, a significant share of the electrolyzer’s capacity will supply renewable and low-carbon hydrogen to industrial hubs in Normandy, creating a comprehensive ecosystem that supports both industrial and transport decarbonization. This initiative highlights how collaborative investments in green hydrogen can reshape supply chains, enhance efficiency, and drive progress toward a more sustainable future.
