A specialized training class on fruit logistics has commenced for 10 participants from southern Thailand in Haikou, the capital of China’s tropical province of Hainan. Starting on Sunday, the course will provide cutting-edge knowledge on tropical fruit logistics and processing, alongside the latest technologies and development trends in modern and smart agriculture.
The trainees will conduct field surveys in various locations including Haikou, Wanning, and Sanya to understand the current development status and market potential of China’s tropical fruit industry.
“This event offers valuable experience and inspiration for our future work in this field,” said Visa Pulsirirat, governor of Chumphon Province, Thailand. He noted that this initiative will further consolidate and deepen the friendly relations between the two countries at the local level.
Sponsored by China’s Ministry of Commerce and organized by the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, the seven-day training aims to enhance cooperation between China and Thailand in tropical fruit logistics, processing, and modern agriculture, thereby promoting the agricultural industry’s development in both nations.
Li Jihua, vice president of the academy, highlighted that over the past five years, the academy has facilitated exchanges by sending 134 people in 28 delegations to Thailand and receiving more than 40 people in nine delegations from Thailand.
