A delegation of 78 representatives from Taiwan, including government officials and members from 15 companies, is currently showcasing the country’s advancements in autonomous vehicles and related technology at XPONENTIAL 2024 in San Diego, California.
Luo Zheng-fang, chairperson of GEOSAT Aerospace & Technology Inc. and a prominent figure in the Taiwanese drone industry, highlighted Taiwan’s ambition to establish itself within the global drone supply chain. With democratic nations seeking to diversify their supply chains and reduce reliance on China, Taiwan aims to position itself as a key player in the development and production of drones.
The Taiwanese delegation is emphasizing the nation’s strengths in precision manufacturing, high-end chip production, AI software capabilities, and efficient mass production processes. These qualities, they argue, enhance the competitiveness of the global drone community and support the growing demand for drone technology worldwide.
Among the companies participating in the exhibition, Thunder Tiger Group stands out with its range of drone models designed for both military and civilian applications, including air, water, and underwater vehicles.
XPONENTIAL 2024, hosted at the San Diego Convention Center, serves as a gathering point for over 7,500 experts in autonomous technology from various industries and countries worldwide. The event provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas to drive innovation in the autonomous technology sector.
