A new strategic equity partnership between a global logistics leader and a prominent Turkish port operator has been established, aiming to elevate Turkey’s role in global trade by creating a new international logistics hub on the Marmara Sea. Following regulatory approval from the Turkish Competition Authority, the logistics provider acquired a 58% stake in the Turkish port operator’s facilities, while the Turkish operator secured a 42% interest in the logistics provider’s operations. This new partnership will operate under new names, becoming key maritime gateways in the region.
The partnership will provide a comprehensive suite of logistics solutions, including container handling, customs brokerage, and bonded warehouse services, enhanced by advanced digital technologies.
