In a significant boost for France’s supply chain infrastructure, a new logistics and ripening platform for fresh produce is set to launch by 2027. Recently chosen through a competitive proposal process, the project will be strategically positioned near France’s major container terminals, marking a key advancement in the country’s efforts to support sustainable, large-scale agri-food logistics.
This 20,000-square-meter platform will feature advanced storage, packaging, and logistics management facilities, along with ripening rooms designed to handle over 150,000 tons of fresh produce annually. The site will double current logistics capacities, streamlining the processing and distribution of fresh produce across France and Europe while reducing environmental impact.
France’s central location within key European trade routes positions this platform to facilitate direct links with neighboring markets, strengthening supply chain networks and supporting France’s carbon reduction goals. As part of a larger national infrastructure upgrade, this project is aligned with France’s ambitions to create a sustainable, efficient food logistics ecosystem, benefiting both local economies and the environment.
With the support of regional stakeholders, this initiative will help create jobs, drive innovation in logistics, and support France’s leadership in sustainable agri-food supply chains.
