A state-of-the-art logistics center is set to rise in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, marking a significant milestone in South Korea’s supply chain infrastructure. Spanning 82,000 square meters, the facility will feature a five-story dry warehouse with a net leasable area of 100,000 square meters. With approximately 70% of the space already pre-leased to businesses in the life sciences sector, the development highlights the growing demand for efficient and specialized logistics solutions.
This expansion aligns with South Korea’s efforts to enhance logistics efficiency and meet the increasing demand for high-quality distribution centers. The project follows a previous investment in northern Gyeonggi Province, where a last-mile logistics hub was established. Once completed, the combined logistics footprint will exceed 244,000 square meters, significantly boosting the country’s supply chain capabilities and strengthening trade connectivity. The project is expected to reach a portfolio value of over $500 million, showcasing the rapid evolution of the logistics sector.
Strategically positioned for optimal connectivity, the new logistics center benefits from the recently completed Anseong-Guri section of the Second Gyeongbu Expressway. This key transport link improves access to the Greater Seoul area, enhancing distribution efficiency for businesses relying on streamlined supply chain operations. The facility’s innovative “Large Plate” design, featuring an expansive floor space of over 16,500 square meters, maximizes operational flexibility and scalability. Additionally, despite regional power supply constraints, the development has secured adequate electricity capacity to support automation and future technological advancements.
With the continued expansion of logistics infrastructure, South Korea is reinforcing its position as a leading hub for supply chain innovation. Investments in modern logistics facilities ensure seamless operations, improve last-mile delivery services, and enhance global trade competitiveness. As the demand for efficient and high-tech distribution centers rises, projects like this play a crucial role in shaping the future of logistics and supply chain management.
