A major logistics provider has introduced a groundbreaking express cross-border courier service, offering next-day delivery for international parcels within China. The service features an optimized route that streamlines transportation from Hong Kong to Zhuhai and then to Hangzhou, significantly reducing delivery times.
Parcels are initially stored in a warehouse near Hong Kong International Airport, then transported across the Pearl River Estuary to Zhuhai. From there, they are flown to Hangzhou before being delivered to customers. This innovative route, known as “Gangzhufei,” cuts transportation time by at least one day compared to traditional methods, such as rail or road transport, or more costly air routes from Hong Kong to Shanghai.
Currently available to residents in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu who have purchased international items, this service addresses high-demand areas with improved efficiency. The provider is also working on future enhancements to extend this expedited service to exports from mainland China.
This development highlights a significant advancement in logistics, setting new standards for speed and efficiency in cross-border e-commerce.
