In a significant move to enhance logistics within Uttar Pradesh, a new initiative has been launched to provide parcel and courier services across the state. This effort utilizes the extensive bus network of the state transport corporation, ensuring widespread reach and efficiency. The necessary infrastructure will be in place by September 9, with services available through both air-conditioned and regular buses. Approximately 11,000 buses will be dedicated to this ambitious project.
This initiative aims to streamline parcel delivery in key regions, including Agra, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Moradabad, Bareilly, Hardoi, Etawah, and Jhansi. These areas are anticipated to see significant volumes of parcel bookings, reflecting the high demand for reliable courier services. While a portion of the bus space will be reserved for parcel bookings, the remaining area will be utilized for passenger luggage, ensuring efficient use of space.
The State Transport Minister has emphasized the importance of this initiative and directed transport officials to ensure full cooperation for its successful implementation. This collaboration is expected to bring significant benefits to both the logistics sector and the general public, providing a reliable and efficient means of transporting parcels across the state.
