In its 20th annual Global Supply Chain Top 25, Gartner has recognized a leading multinational corporation as the top performer in global supply chain excellence. Following closely are a prominent technology firm and a major consumer goods company, securing the second and third spots respectively. Making an impressive debut, a well-known graphics technology company landed in seventh place.
“The supply chain organizations in this year’s Top 25 excelled in protecting growth rates amidst challenging conditions while also prioritizing sustainable operations,” stated Simon Bailey, VP Analyst at Gartner. “Leading supply chains now integrate ESG criteria into their core operations, resulting in higher growth rates, improved returns on physical assets (ROPA), and stronger margins.”
Other notable performers in the rankings include a renowned software giant at fourth place, a leading healthcare company at fifth, and a global beverage company at sixth. The top-ranked company’s continued success is attributed to a comprehensive three-year transformation initiative that strengthened customer and supplier relationships and enhanced operational resilience.
Bailey highlighted this consistent excellence, stating, “The top company excelled across all components of our methodology, securing the highest number of Gartner expert votes. Their strategic initiatives have significantly bolstered their supply chain operations.”
The complete Top 25 list, featuring detailed profiles of each company and key trends driving their success, will be published in the September issue of Supply Chain Management Review magazine.
Gartner also celebrates long-term supply chain excellence through its “Masters” category, recognizing companies that have consistently achieved top-five composite scores for at least seven of the past ten years. Four major companies maintained their Masters status this year.
Gartner’s rankings are based on a composite score derived from business performance data and community opinion, evaluating companies from the Fortune Global 500 and Forbes Global 2000 with a revenue threshold of $15 billion.
