Kazakhstan is poised to strengthen its role as a key supply chain and transit hub in Eurasia, following promising talks with a prominent Turkish logistics firm about a large-scale investment in logistics infrastructure.
The meeting, held between Kazakh officials and the Turkish delegation, focused on the construction of a modern logistics and warehouse terminal network. With an estimated investment of $100 million, the proposed facilities will be strategically located in major cities including Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, and Aktau—areas central to Kazakhstan’s domestic distribution and cross-border trade.
Kazakhstan’s government emphasized its readiness to provide full support for the initiative, offering investment incentives, land access, and streamlined coordination with regional authorities. These infrastructure projects align with Kazakhstan’s broader economic strategy to diversify its economy and enhance its logistics sector’s competitiveness.
From a supply chain perspective, the planned logistics terminals are expected to reduce bottlenecks, improve cargo handling, and boost throughput capacity, making Kazakhstan a more attractive route for transit goods between Asia and Europe. The Turkish side expressed strong confidence in the country’s investment environment and highlighted Kazakhstan’s unique geographic advantage as a critical factor in their expansion strategy.
The collaboration is anticipated to create new jobs, enhance trade fluidity, and bring greater stability and efficiency to supply chains operating across Central Asia.
