A state-of-the-art logistics hub in Shanghai’s Shihudang Town is nearing its final stages of construction, expected to be operational by December this year. Covering an expansive 210,000 square meters, this facility is set to become a pioneering example of efficient urban distribution and multi-modal transport solutions in East China.
Phase II of the project boasts a cutting-edge, five-story ramp warehouse designed to optimize logistical operations. Featuring modern safety enhancements like through-style external fire escapes and sustainable design elements such as ALC panel exterior walls and energy-efficient glass curtain walls for office spaces, the hub sets new standards for environmental responsibility in logistics infrastructure.
Driven by the evolving demands of sectors like e-commerce, biopharmaceuticals, and catering, the hub promises to meet the growing need for integrated supply chain solutions. Building on the success of Phase I, which already supports critical industries such as food, retail, and healthcare, Phase II is expected to further enhance these capabilities.
The facility’s advanced green technology, including rooftop solar power and rainwater harvesting systems, underscores its commitment to sustainable practices and low-carbon operations. Strategically positioned in Shihudang Town, the hub connects Southwest Shanghai seamlessly with the broader Yangtze River Delta economic region, facilitating efficient logistics operations via major highways and future high-speed rail links.
“The hub’s innovative design and integration of multiple transportation modes will significantly boost logistics efficiency and support regional economic development,” highlighted Zhou Yao, project manager.
