Joseph Buccheri is a highly accomplished award-winning international trade and investment lawyer with extensive expertise in the field. As the Managing Director of IMPEX Lawyers & Advisers, Joseph brings a wealth of experience to assist entrepreneurs and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in succeeding both locally and globally. With a background in international business and a passion for helping businesses navigate legal and commercial complexities, Joseph is dedicated to providing strategic and effective legal solutions to his clients combined with a fervent dedication to leveraging the power of artificial intelligence (AI) in legal practice and international trade facilitation.

Joseph’s international journey began after gaining international experience in Italy, Switzerland, and China in the early 90’s. In the late 1990s, he founded WTOEXCHANGE, an import/export internet marketplace for SMEs as a competitor platform to the then nascent Alibaba, partnering with prominent organizations such as IBM World Trade Corporation, Hewlett Packard, and Travelex. This entrepreneurial venture provided Joseph with invaluable insights into the challenges faced by businesses in the global market. With a unique perspective that combines business and legal expertise, Joseph established IMPEX Lawyers & Advisers in 2007, offering comprehensive legal services tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs and SMEs.

Joseph holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia, along with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from ANU, Australia. His educational background also includes a Graduate Diploma in Chinese Business from Tongji University in Shanghai, China, and a Bachelor of Business degree in International Trade from Victoria University, Australia. These qualifications have equipped him with a solid foundation in law and international business, enabling him to provide effective legal counsel and strategic negotiation solutions to his clients.
