A key player in the logistics and industrial property market has made significant strides with the acquisition of four new properties in the Helsinki metropolitan area. This expansion enhances its portfolio, now comprising a total of 35,000 square meters spread across six properties.
The latest acquisition involves two prime properties, adding approximately 30,000 square meters of logistics and warehouse space. One of the newly acquired sites, located near Helsinki-Vantaa airport, offers 22,000 square meters of top-tier logistics space, fully leased to an international logistics operator. This property is in an ideal location for logistics operations and presents substantial potential for future development, including expansion possibilities and sustainability enhancements.
In addition to this, a 5,000 square meter multi-tenant facility in Vantaa’s Piispankylä area was also secured. This property boasts excellent connectivity to major highways and will undergo substantial modernization, with a focus on improving its energy efficiency and sustainability through ESG initiatives.
Further boosting its portfolio, the company has also completed a sale-and-leaseback deal in Tuusula, acquiring two additional properties from a local construction firm. This acquisition provides the company with more development opportunities, as it already owns neighboring properties in the area, enabling long-term growth.
These acquisitions align with the company’s strategy of securing high-quality properties in key locations around Helsinki. The firm sees significant opportunities to improve these newly acquired sites through targeted sustainability investments, reflecting its long-term commitment to growth and operational efficiency in a competitive market.
