A Dubai-based logistics company has shown keen interest in establishing a logistics hub and industrial park in the Philippines, according to statements from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Tuesday.
During a meeting between Secretary Alfredo Pascual and senior executives from the Dubai-based firm in Abu Dhabi, discussions centered around potential collaboration in developing the Philippines’ logistics sector, including ventures into industrial parks, economic zones, and digital solutions.
Pascual, leading the Philippine delegation at the 13th World Trade Organization Ministerial Conference, emphasized the economic potential of partnering with the Dubai-based logistics company. He highlighted the Philippines’ vision to position itself as a strategic logistics hub in Asia.
Aligned with the government’s infrastructure development initiatives, such as the ‘Build Better More’ program, which prioritizes enhancing seaports, airports, and railways, the potential investments from the Dubai-based firm complement the nation’s aspirations.

Furthermore, Pascual assured the Dubai-based company of DTI’s support by facilitating connections with potential local partners, streamlining collaboration processes, and sharing expertise.
In concluding remarks, Pascual reiterated the Philippines’ dedication to fostering a conducive business environment and expressed readiness to facilitate investments, signaling a proactive stance in driving economic growth and prosperity.
