Morocco’s digital economy and outsourcing exports reached 26.2 billion dirhams in 2024, according to data from the Office des Changes, reflecting the country’s steady progress in expanding its technology-driven trade sectors. The figure marks a 0.2 percent increase from 2023, highlighting the resilience and adaptability of Morocco’s growing digital services industry.
Information technology and outsourcing services made up the largest portion of export revenues, accounting for 40.3 percent of the total, followed by customer relationship management activities, such as call centers, at 37.4 percent. Engineering services outsourcing contributed 13.2 percent, business process outsourcing represented 8.9 percent, and knowledge process outsourcing accounted for 0.2 percent of overall exports.
During the first half of 2025, Morocco’s digital exports continued their upward momentum, reaching 13.4 billion dirhams—up from 12.9 billion dirhams during the same period in 2024, representing a 3.5 percent year-on-year growth. This positive trend underscores the country’s growing competitiveness in the global digital supply chain.
The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform has launched a project to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of monitoring digital and outsourcing exports. This initiative forms part of the broader “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, which aims to strengthen the nation’s role in international trade through technology and innovation.
By investing in digital transformation and export infrastructure, Morocco continues to position itself as a regional hub for technology services. These efforts are expected to improve supply chain connectivity, support sustainable trade growth, and create new opportunities for international collaboration in digital industries.
