South Korea has advanced its position as a major force in the global cosmetics supply chain by becoming the world’s second-largest exporter of beauty products, surpassing the United States and now ranking just behind France. This milestone reflects not only strong product demand but also the country’s well-established export and logistics capabilities.
From January to April 2025, South Korea exported 3.61 billion dollars worth of cosmetics—slightly ahead of the United States’ 3.57 billion dollars. This achievement builds on strong performance in 2024, when South Korea’s total beauty exports reached over 10 billion dollars, driven by increased demand and efficient supply chain operations.
The country’s monthly export volumes have continued to rise this year, from 750 million dollars in January to more than 1 billion dollars in April. This growth highlights the strength of South Korea’s supply chain systems, including product sourcing, packaging, international logistics, and timely delivery.
Emerging markets are playing a significant role in this expansion. For example, beauty product exports to Poland grew by over 120 percent compared to the previous year, while exports to the United Arab Emirates increased by more than 70 percent. These trends show how South Korea is successfully diversifying its trade partners and building more resilient supply networks.
By focusing on product quality, innovative formulations, and reliable distribution, South Korea continues to strengthen its presence in international markets. Its rise in global rankings confirms the importance of having a flexible, responsive, and well-integrated supply chain in the competitive world of beauty and personal care.
