A prominent logistics and technology service provider for the luxury and fashion sectors is extending its European footprint with a significant new lease at a commercial park in East Horndon, Essex. This marks the company’s first facility in the UK, adding to its existing operations in China, the US, and Europe.
The newly leased 126,000ft² facility at the London Brentwood Commercial Park is touted for its sustainability features, achieving BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standards and an EPC ‘A+’ rating. The site includes a rooftop array of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, innovative SolarWall® technology for heating office areas, and rainwater harvesting systems. Infrastructure to support electric vehicle (EV) fleets is also in place, with plans for EV delivery services into Central London, building on the company’s successful EV initiatives in other regions.
A company spokesperson highlighted the importance of the facility’s strategic location and sustainability credentials, which are crucial not only for the business but also for the brands they work with. The facility is expected to enable quick service to customers, reduce delivery miles, and support efforts to decarbonize supply chains.
Another representative from the commercial park emphasized the importance of delivering high-quality, sustainable properties that leverage technology and innovation to enhance operational efficiency. The collaboration is seen as a significant step in supporting the logistics provider’s growth in the luxury retail market.
The commercial park also hosts other notable occupiers, including an aviation supply chain specialist and an independent games retailer set to establish its new headquarters at the site.
